Talc Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional plastic products like PP injection parts, PE pipes, PVC profiles such as insufficient rigidity, large shrinkage, high cost, and uneven dispersion after adding ordinary talc. It focuses on improving rigidity, dimensional stability and reducing cost without sacrificing toughness, providing solutions for home appliances, automotive parts. It uses suitable carriers: PP (MFR 15-25g/10min) for PP products, HDPE (MFR 5-12g/10min) for PE, PVC resin (polymerization degree 1000-1200) for PVC, ensuring ≥95% compatibility.
Its core components include high-purity talc (50%-70%, whiteness ≥93%, 800-2500 mesh) boosting PP flexural modulus by 30%-60%, interface modifiers (2%-5%, silane + titanate) preserving ≥70% PP elongation, and dispersants (1%-3%, calcium stearate + PE wax) ensuring even dispersion via twin-screw granulation (140-190℃ for PE).
The masterbatch balances performance and cost, reducing cost by 8%-15%. Stable at -30℃-90℃, it fits 140-220℃ processing with 10%-30% addition, preserving fluidity. It’s used for PP fridge drawers (ensuring precision), PE pipes (enhancing strength), PVC profiles (reducing cracking), and PE crates (boosting load capacity).
