PP Talc-Filled Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional PP products such as insufficient rigidity, large dimensional shrinkage, easy deformation and high cost of pure PP materials. It focuses on improving PP products’ rigidity, dimensional stability and reducing production cost while not significantly sacrificing PP’s toughness and processability, providing solutions for PP products requiring both mechanical performance and cost control. It uses compatible homopolymer PP as carrier, blending well with homopolymer, copolymer and modified PP to avoid delamination or uneven performance.
Its core components are composite system of high-purity ultra-fine talc (whiteness ≥93%, particle size 1000-2500 mesh, 50%-70%) and interface modifiers (silane/titanate coupling agents, 2%-5%). Talc enhances flexural modulus by 30%-60% and heat distortion temperature to 125-140℃, reducing shrinkage to 0.8%-1.2%; modifiers improve interface adhesion, ensuring elongation retention ≥70% and impact strength retention ≥65%. 1%-3% dispersant ensures even talc dispersion via high-temperature melting and twin-screw granulation.
The masterbatch balances performance and cost. Molded products have enhanced rigidity and dimensional stability, meeting precision requirements, with 8%-15% cost reduction. Stable at -30℃-90℃, it fits 160-220℃ processing, with 10%-30% addition preserving processability. It fits injection molding/extrusion for washing machine shells, automotive interior parts.
In applications, it’s used for PP washing machine shells improving impact resistance, automotive door trims enhancing heat stability, logistics crates boosting load capacity, and storage cabinets preventing warping, meeting needs in multiple fields.
