PP Whitening Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional PP products such as insufficient whiteness, yellowish appearance, and easy whiteness fading under light or high temperature, which reduce product texture and market competitiveness. It focuses on endowing PP with pure uniform whiteness and bright visual effect while maintaining mechanical properties, providing solutions for PP products requiring strict whiteness. It uses compatible homopolymer PP as carrier, blending well with homopolymer, copolymer and modified PP to avoid uneven whiteness or delamination.
Its core components are composite system of fluorescent whitening agents (0.5%-2%, stilbene + coumarin) and anti-yellowing additives (1%-3%, HALS + phenolic antioxidant). Whitening agents boost L whiteness from 80-85 to 92-96 by converting UV light to blue-violet light; anti-yellowing additives limit whiteness fading to ≤3% after 6 months outdoor exposure or 12 months storage at 80℃. 1%-2% dispersant ensures even distribution via low-temperature melting and twin-screw granulation.
The masterbatch offers significant and long-lasting whiteness, stable at -30℃-90℃ and 160-220℃ processing temperature. 2%-5% addition preserves ≥95% tensile strength and ≥90% impact strength, complying with GB 4806.7-2016. It fits injection molding, extrusion for home appliances, food packaging.
In applications, it’s used for PP washing machine shells enhancing texture, food boxes meeting safety standards, storage boxes preventing yellowing, and PP fabrics boosting brightness, meeting whiteness needs in multiple fields.
