Meltblown Additive Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional meltblown processes such as uneven PP melt flow, easy fiber breakage, uneven fiber thickness, low filtration efficiency and poor aging resistance of meltblown nonwovens. It focuses on improving melt processing stability and nonwoven performance while adapting to high-temperature high-speed meltblown environments, providing solutions for fields requiring strict nonwoven quality. It uses high-fluidity homopolymer PP as carrier, blending well with meltblown PP to avoid clogging or fiber agglomeration at 230-280℃.
Its core components are composite system of flow modifiers (8%-15%, polyolefin wax + silicone resin), electret synergists (5%-10%, nano tourmaline + nitrogen compounds) and anti-aging additives (2%-5%, hindered phenol + UV absorber). Flow modifiers reduce melt viscosity, lowering fiber breakage rate to <1%; electret synergists boost 0.3μm particle filtration efficiency by 10%-15%; anti-aging additives maintain ≥85% tensile strength after 1000h xenon aging. 1%-2% dispersant ensures even distribution via low-temperature melting and twin-screw granulation.
The masterbatch balances processing adaptability and performance improvement. It narrows melt flow fluctuation to ±2%, extends equipment runtime to 24h, and enhances nonwoven uniformity and filtration. Stable at 230-280℃, 3%-8% addition preserves ≥90% air permeability, fitting single/double-screw meltblown machines for N95 mask layers.
In applications, it’s used for medical mask meltblown layers maintaining protection, air purifier filters improving particle interception, water purification filters enhancing precision, and diaper guide layers boosting comfort, meeting needs in multiple fields.
