PP Antibacterial Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional PP products such as easy bacterial growth, odor generation and health risks. It focuses on endowing PP with efficient, broad-spectrum and long-lasting antibacterial performance without damaging its properties, providing solutions for PP products requiring strict hygiene protection. It uses compatible homopolymer PP as carrier (MFR 11-21g/10min), blending well with homopolymer, copolymer and modified PP to avoid delamination or uneven antibacterial effect.
The masterbatch offers long-lasting antibacterial performance: ≥99% antibacterial rate against E. coli and S. aureus in 24h, maintaining after 50 washes for over 2 years. Stable at 160-220℃, 4%-8% addition preserves ≥93% flexural modulus and ≥88% impact strength, complying with GB 4806.7-2016 for food contact. It fits injection molding, extrusion for food containers, medical supplies.
In applications, it’s used for PP food boxes (extending shelf life), medical trays (reducing infection), household chopping boards (inhibiting mold), and baby bottle parts (safe for infants), meeting hygiene needs in multiple fields.
