PERT Yellow Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional PERT pipes such as uneven yellow color, easy embrittlement under low temperature, and impaired weather resistance from ordinary yellow pigments. These traditional PERT pipes include home cold water pipes, industrial cooling water pipes, and municipal water transmission pipes. It focuses on endowing pipes with uniform bright yellow appearance, long-term aging resistance and low-temperature stability while preserving PERT’s low-temperature resistance, pressure resistance and flexibility, providing solutions for home decoration pipelines, industrial cooling and municipal water transmission. It uses high-purity PERT resin as carrier with a melt flow rate of 0.6-1.6g/10min, ensuring over 98% compatibility with various PERT substrates to avoid pigment precipitation or surface defects, while maintaining the substrate’s inherent mechanical properties.
Its core components include low-temperature resistant yellow pigments: surface-modified azo pigments (particle size 0.1-0.4μm, addition 18%-32%), achieving yellow appearance (ΔE≤1.3, C≥70) and 88%-94% light-shielding rate; anti-aging additives: blended hindered amine light stabilizers and phenol antioxidants (addition 1.2%-3.5%), maintaining ≥92% tensile strength after 100 cycles of -45℃ to 70℃; efficient dispersants: blended polyolefin wax and glycerol fatty acid ester (addition 1.8%-4.5%), ensuring ≥97% dispersion via twin-screw mixing at 155-175℃ and increasing melt flow rate by 8%-14%.
The masterbatch combines excellent low-temperature stability and appearance durability with strong scenario adaptability. Stable at -45℃-80℃, it works at 165-205℃ with adjustable addition 0.8%-3.5%, preserving ≥90% impact strength at -45℃ and ≥1000h pressure resistance at 20℃. It fits PERT home cold water pipes, low-temperature resistant industrial cooling pipes, high-pressure municipal water pipes, and agricultural irrigation pipes, reducing defects and ensuring long-term reliability.
