PC White Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional PC products such as uneven white color, easy degradation under high-temperature processing, and impaired light transmittance or impact strength from ordinary titanium dioxide. These traditional PC products include electronic appliance enclosures, automotive lighting accessories, and medical device components. It focuses on endowing products with uniform pure high-whiteness appearance, long-term anti-yellowing performance and processing stability while preserving PC’s excellent high-temperature resistance, high impact strength and weather resistance, providing solutions for electronic appliances, automotive manufacturing and medical devices. It uses high-purity medium-viscosity PC resin as carrier with a melt flow rate of 8-15g/10min, ensuring over 98% compatibility with various PC substrates (ordinary PC, flame-retardant PC, weather-resistant PC) to avoid titanium dioxide agglomeration or performance decay, while maintaining substrate mechanical properties (tensile strength ≥65MPa, Izod impact strength ≥60kJ/m²).
Its core components include highly dispersed rutile titanium dioxide: alumina-coated titanium dioxide (particle size 0.15-0.3μm, addition 35%-55%), achieving L*≥96 and 95%-98% light-shielding rate (transmittance ≥50% for translucent needs); anti-oxidation & anti-yellowing additives: blended hindered phenol antioxidants and UV absorbers (addition 2%-5%), limiting yellowing index to ≤1.8 and maintaining ≥88% tensile strength after 1000h heat aging at 220℃; processing stabilizers: phosphate anti-degradants (addition 1%-3%), ensuring ≥98% dispersion via twin-screw precision mixing (260-290℃) and increasing melt flow rate by 8%-14%.
The masterbatch combines excellent high-temperature stability and light transmittance balance with wide scenario adaptability. Stable at -40℃-130℃, it works at PC processing temperatures (injection 280-320℃, extrusion 270-300℃) with adjustable addition 5%-20%, preserving ≥95% heat distortion temperature and ≥85% low-temperature impact strength (-40℃). It fits PC electronic enclosures (heat-resistant), automotive lighting accessories (UV-resistant), medical device components (safe), and daily necessities (impact-resistant), reducing defects and ensuring long-term reliability.
