PLA Biodegradable Plastic Talcum Powder Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional PLA products such as high brittleness, slow crystallization rate, poor heat resistance, and uneven dispersion of ordinary talcum powder affecting mechanical properties. These traditional PLA products include disposable tableware, packaging pallets and 3D printing filaments. It focuses on improving the product’s toughness, accelerating crystallization rate and enhancing heat resistance while preserving PLA’s biodegradability and transparency, providing customized solutions for biodegradable packaging, 3D printing and disposable products. It uses high-purity PLA resin as carrier with a melt flow rate of 3.0-5.0g/10min, ensuring over 97% compatibility with various PLA substrates (pure PLA, PLA/PBAT blends, PLA/starch composites) to avoid delamination or mechanical property fluctuation, while maintaining the substrate’s composting degradation rate ≥90% in 6 months (complete degradation without polymer residue).
Its core components include modified talcum powder: ultra-fine talcum powder treated with silane coupling agent, with particle size 1000-2000 mesh and addition amount 20%-40%, which boosts flexural modulus to 3500-4200MPa and shortens molding cycle to 30-50 seconds; tougheners: blended polycaprolactone and EVA with addition amount 8%-15%, increasing impact strength to 5.0-7.0kJ/m² and elongation to 15%-25%. Via twin-screw mixing at 160-180℃, talcum powder dispersion uniformity reaches ≥98% with melt flow fluctuation ≤4%.
The masterbatch combines excellent processing efficiency and performance optimization with wide scenario adaptability. Stable at -20℃-80℃, it works at 160-210℃ with adjustable addition 15%-45%, meeting GB 4806.7-2016 and GB/T 19277.1-2011 standards. It fits PLA reinforced disposable tableware (tough), fast-forming packaging pallets (efficient), 3D printing filaments (smooth printing), and agricultural seedling pots (biodegradable), reducing environmental pollution and production cost.
