PBAT Biodegradable Plastic Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional PBAT products such as insufficient rigidity, poor temperature resistance, uncontrollable degradation rate, and impaired biodegradation integrity from ordinary modifiers.
These traditional PBAT products include disposable packaging films, agricultural mulch films and medical supplies. It focuses on improving the product’s rigidity, temperature resistance and degradation controllability while preserving PBAT’s flexibility and biodegradability, providing customized solutions for biodegradable packaging, agricultural environmental protection and medical packaging. It uses high-purity PBAT resin as carrier with a melt flow rate of 1.2-2.8g/10min, ensuring over 98% compatibility with various PBAT substrates (pure PBAT, PBAT/PLA blends, PBAT/starch composites) to avoid delamination or mechanical property fluctuation, while maintaining the substrate’s composting degradation rate ≥92% in 6 months (complete degradation without polymer residue).
Its core components include rigidity enhancers: blended ultra-fine talc and glass fiber with addition amount 15%-30%, boosting flexural modulus to 1200-1800MPa while preserving ≥90% elongation; temperature-resistant modifiers: blended polycaprolactone and nano-silica with addition amount 8%-15%, increasing heat distortion temperature to 75-85℃; degradation regulators: aliphatic polyester oligomers with addition amount 5%-10%, adjusting composting degradation time from 4-6 months to 6-12 months. Via twin-screw mixing at 130-150℃, component dispersion uniformity reaches ≥97% with melt flow fluctuation ≤3%.
The masterbatch combines excellent performance balance and degradation controllability with wide scenario adaptability. Stable at -35℃-80℃, it works at 130-170℃ with adjustable addition 10%-40%, meeting GB 4806.7-2016 and GB/T 19277.1-2011 standards. It fits PBAT food packaging films (load-bearing), temperature-resistant agricultural mulch films (summer anti-softening), medical packaging materials (safe), and disposable tableware (heat-resistant), reducing environmental pollution and production waste.
