Bamboo Powder Biodegradable Plastic Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional biodegradable plastics such as insufficient rigidity, high cost, microplastic generation after degradation, and poor dispersion of ordinary plant fibers. These traditional biodegradable plastics include PBAT/PLA products and PHA products. It focuses on endowing products with excellent rigidity, natural texture appearance and full-life-cycle environmental protection while preserving the biodegradability and processability of biodegradable plastics, providing customized solutions for biodegradable packaging, disposable products and gardening supplies. It uses compatible PBAT/PLA blended resin as carrier with a melt flow rate of 1.8-3.2g/10min, ensuring over 95% compatibility with various biodegradable plastic substrates to avoid bamboo powder agglomeration or delamination, while maintaining the substrate’s biodegradation rate (≥92% degradation in 6 months under composting conditions).
Its core components include modified bamboo powder: 80-120 mesh ultra-fine bamboo powder treated with silane coupling agent, with addition amount 30%-50%, which boosts flexural modulus to 1500-2000MPa and reduces cost by 15%-25%; compatibility additives: maleic anhydride grafted PBAT with addition amount 5%-8%, maintaining ≥85% elongation at break; and anti-aging agents: blended hindered phenols and UV absorbers with addition amount 1.5%-3%, preserving ≥82% tensile strength after 800h xenon lamp aging. Via twin-screw mixing at 130-150℃, bamboo powder dispersion uniformity reaches ≥96% with melt flow fluctuation ≤5%.
The masterbatch combines excellent mechanical enhancement and environmental protection, with natural bamboo texture. Stable at -30℃-60℃, it works at 130-170℃ with adjustable addition 10%-40%, preserving ≥85% elongation and ≥92% biodegradation rate. It fits PBAT/PLA bamboo-patterned tableware (rigid), PHA gardening pots (fertilizable after degradation), biodegradable packaging films (puncture-resistant), and daily necessities (eco-friendly), reducing environmental pollution.
