High Pigment White Sand is a high-performance coloring product developed to solve problems of traditional white coloring materials such as high cost, poor processability and impaired mechanical properties caused by high pigment addition in high hiding scenarios. It focuses on achieving higher hiding power and uniform white coloring with lower addition, while ensuring processing stability and substrate performance integrity, providing solutions for outdoor building materials, heavy packaging and automotive exterior parts. It uses modified resin carriers with over 98% compatibility with corresponding substrates, maintaining ≥95% tensile strength retention for PE and ≥92% impact strength retention for ABS.
Its core components include ultra-high concentration rutile titanium dioxide: double-coated (Al₂O₃+SiO₂) pigment with particle size 0.25-0.4μm, addition 60%-75%, achieving ≥98% light-shielding rate with 2%-5% addition (40%-50% less than ordinary white sand); high-efficiency dispersion system: grafted dispersant + polyolefin wax (addition 5%-8%), ensuring ≥99% dispersion via twin-screw mixing (210-290℃) and increasing melt flow rate by 15%-25%; anti-settling additives: organobentonite + modified SiO₂ (addition 1%-3%), controlling ΔE≤0.8 between batches.
The product combines high hiding efficiency and cost optimization with strong adaptability. Stable at -40℃-120℃, it works at substrate processing temperatures with adjustable addition 2%-8%, maintaining ≥90% whiteness after 1500h xenon aging. It fits PE outdoor trash cans (weather-resistant), PP logistics pallets (high hiding), ABS automotive mirrors (impact-resistant), and home appliance parts (cost-effective), reducing defects and production costs.
