High Pigment Black Sand is a high-performance coloring product designed to solve key issues of traditional black coloring materials in high-blackness scenarios (e.g., outdoor pipelines, industrial storage tanks, automotive chassis parts): excessive pigment addition causing poor processability, higher costs, and reduced substrate weather resistance. Its core goal is to achieve deep, uniform high-blackness coloring with lower addition while ensuring processing fluidity and outdoor weather stability, offering customized solutions for fields like outdoor engineering, industrial packaging, and heavy machinery parts that demand consistent blackness and reliability.
For carriers, it uses modified resins compatible with multiple substrates, divided into three types: PE-based (MFR 9-17g/10min) for polyethylene products, PP-based (MFR 11-19g/10min) for polypropylene, and ABS-based (MFR 14-22g/10min) for ABS engineering plastics. All carriers have over 98% compatibility with their substrates, preventing carbon black agglomeration, surface pitting, or delamination during molding, while preserving substrate mechanics—e.g., PE retains ≥95% tensile strength, ABS ≥93% impact strength.
Core components include ultra-high-concentration nano-carbon black, a high-efficiency dispersion system, and UV-resistant weather aids. The nano-carbon black (surface-modified furnace black, 15-25nm particle size, 95-125mL/100g oil absorption) is added at 50%-65%, far higher than traditional materials (30%-45%). Only 1%-3% addition achieves deep blackness (L value ≤11, ΔE ≤0.8), cutting addition by 40%-50% vs. ordinary black sand. The dispersion system (4%-8% grafted polyolefin dispersant + PE wax) ensures ≥99% carbon black dispersion via twin-screw mixing (200-280℃), boosting fluidity by 15%-25% and lowering defect rates from 11%-17% to below 2%. UV-resistant aids (2%-5% carbon black + HALS) maintain ≥92% blackness and ≥88% tensile strength after 1800h xenon aging, outperforming ordinary black sand (≤80% blackness retention).
Molded products have uniform deep blackness (hiding power ≥0.6mg/cm² for dark substrates) and stable performance: no carbon migration after 8 months at 60℃/90% humidity, ≤5% mechanical fluctuation (-40℃ to 120℃). It works stably at standard processing temps (PE 180-220℃, PP 190-230℃, ABS 200-240℃), with adjustable addition (1%-5%). It retains substrate chemical resistance (no decay after 12 months in acids/alkalis) and suits PE outdoor oil pipelines, PP industrial tanks, and ABS automotive parts.
