ABS Black Masterbatch is a functional masterbatch developed to solve problems of traditional ABS products such as uneven black color, insufficient blackness, easy fading, and impaired impact resistance from ordinary carbon black. These traditional ABS products include consumer electronics shells, automotive interior parts, and industrial equipment panels. It focuses on endowing products with uniform durable high-blackness appearance, strong UV resistance and excellent processability while preserving ABS’s high rigidity and impact resistance, providing customized solutions for consumer electronics, automotive manufacturing and industrial equipment. It uses high-purity high-impact ABS resin as carrier with a melt flow rate of 17-24g/10min, ensuring over 98% compatibility with various ABS substrates to avoid carbon black agglomeration or surface defects, while maintaining the substrate’s inherent mechanical properties.
Its core components include high-blackness nano-carbon black: surface-modified high-purity carbon black with particle size 15-30nm, oil absorption 85-115mL/100g and addition amount 25%-40%, achieving L value ≤12 and 95%-98% light-shielding rate; UV-resistant additives: blended carbon black and HALS with addition amount 2%-5%, maintaining ≥90% tensile strength after 1800h xenon lamp aging; efficient dispersants: blended ethylene-acrylate copolymer and PE wax with addition amount 3%-7%, increasing melt flow rate to 20-28g/10min. Via twin-screw precision mixing at 185-215℃, carbon black dispersion uniformity reaches ≥97%.
The masterbatch combines excellent blackness stability and weather resistance with wide processability. Stable at -40℃-90℃, it works at 190-235℃ with adjustable addition 5%-20%, preserving ≥96% flexural modulus and ≥92% impact strength. It fits ABS consumer electronics shells, automotive interior parts, industrial equipment panels, and daily necessities, reducing defects and ensuring long-term appearance stability.
