First-year degradation is 0.7 %, below the design limit, and the system remains under warranty monitoring.
In Mar 2024, a 2.5 MWh storage system began operation at a textile mill in Jiaxing. It comprises 35 LY-HS8K-3P inverters and 5 MWh of batteries, operating a two-cycle peak-shaving strategy.
The first-year peak-load offset is 38 % with a simple payback of 2.9 years. The system was commissioned within four months and is now operating without faults, prompting the client to initiate a second phase.
MW Micro-grid, Bishoftu Industrial Park, Ethiopia
In Dec 2023, Lanyao Energy delivered a 1 MW micro-grid at Bishoftu Industrial Park. The system includes 1 MW PV, 0.5 MW diesel and 0.6 MWh storage, operating in PV-priority mode with diesel on cold standby.
After 12 months, diesel consumption fell by 65 % and power availability remained at 99 %, saving around USD 0.28 M in fuel costs.
